Patient FAQ
A few common questions are answered below. For anything else, our assistant can answer questions about clinical trials in plain language.
What are the phases of a clinical trial?
Trials run in phases. Phase 1 checks safety in a small group, Phase 2 looks at whether the treatment works and continues checking safety, Phase 3 compares it to standard care in a larger group, and Phase 4 follows the treatment after approval.
Is ConsentSimplify medical advice?
No. ConsentSimplify explains your consent form in plain language for educational purposes only. Always discuss decisions about participating with your healthcare provider.
Is my data stored?
Documents you upload to ConsentSimplify are processed in-memory and cleared when you leave the page — they are never stored. Profile information you save to an account stays until you delete it.
How do I find a trial for my condition?
Use the Trials page to search and filter by status and phase, or enter an NCT number directly. The assistant can also help you narrow things down in plain language.
