Accessibility

We build TheTrialMate to be usable by everyone, including patients who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the product.

What we do

  • A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
  • Labels on icon-only controls, and status updates announced to screen readers.
  • Color is never the only signal — status carries a text label and icon.
  • The mobile menu traps focus, closes on Escape, and locks background scrolling.
  • All motion respects your prefers-reduced-motion setting.
